Declaration of Intent
We, the undersigned representatives of police employers and police trade unions, recognize the critical importance of fostering a constructive EU social dialogue within the police sector. In pursuit of our shared commitment to enhancing the safety, well-being, and professionalism of law enforcement personnel, communities, and institutions, we hereby establish an EU Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for the Police Sector.
Regardless of our preferences, the European Union holds authority in addressing social issues and regularly implements legislation that impacts the police sector. Engaging in the European debate through sectoral dialogue fosters collaboration at the EU level and guarantees representation of our sector's voice in policymaking processes. In addition to keeping us informed, participation in these discussions empowers us to shape policies affecting our field. Sectoral social dialogue serves as an effective means to stay engaged and exert influence.
